32. In what way is the
faith of the Church one faith alone?

The Church, although
made up of persons who have diverse languages, cultures, and rites, nonetheless
professes with a united voice the one faith that was received from the one Lord
and that was passed on by the one Apostolic Tradition. She confesses one God
alone, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and points to one way of salvation.
Therefore we believe with one heart and one soul all that is contained in the
Word of God, handed down or written, and which is proposed by the
Church as divinely revealed.
The Creed
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the
Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son,
our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day
He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sits at
the right hand of God the Father
almighty, from thence He shall come
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body
and life everlasting.
Amen.
